Jacek Kurski has been reappointed as President of TVP in Poland.

He received the support of four out of five Members of Poland’s National Media Council (RMN).

The RMN decided that the board of TVP – which consists of two Members - will serve for a four year term, offering TVP a period of stability. Kurski will be joined by Maciej Stanecki who remains as a Member of the TVP Board.

He said: “I am glad that the RMN shared my vision for rebuilding the position of Polish Television and restoring its role in Polish society.

“I would like TVP to unite Poles around important goals, carrying rapid and reliable information, plural public debate, high-quality entertainment and sport.”
