RTVE Executive President joins EBU Executive Board
José Manuel Pérez Tornero has been elected to the EBU Executive Board.
He was elected by Members at the EBU’s 86th General Assembly and replaces RTP’s former President Gonçalo Reis who left the Portuguese public service broadcaster earlier this year.
José Manuel Pérez Tornero was appointed Executive President of our Spanish Member RTVE at the start of the year.
He has previously worked at RTVE as a journalist and was the creator and director of numerous television programmes for RTVE. In this capacity, he worked extensively with the EBU as a member of member-driven expert groups looking at cultural and educational programming.
