The GA will, once again, coincide with the AI Summit, which is now in its second edition. Governance topics will be covered on the afternoon of Day 1 (5 December) and will include the election of the nine members of the EBU Executive Board for 2025 & 2026 as well as a presentation of the EBU Compass that was the subject of breakout discussions with delegates attending the previous summer session of the GA that took place in Limassol, Cyprus.
Day 2 (6 December) will be entirely dedicated to high-level AI-themed sessions as part of the AI Summit taking place the entire day. As with last year, the morning of Day 2 will be open to all EBU members, with GA delegates encouraged to stay for the entire Summit, even after the official closure of the GA at midday.
GA delegates are invited to an evening reception on Thursday, 5 December, in Lausanne. More details on the venue and timing will be provided shortly.
For everything you need to know, download the GA & AI Summit Event app. Find information on the programme including the social event, to book your choice of sessions, find the bus timetables and all information on our sessions and speakers.
Why not schedule a private meeting with another attendee or speaker? An Appointment Room is at your disposal in the Business Centre area and the app allows you to reach out to all registered participants.
Registration for the GA and the AI Summit is currently open. Delegates can register directly on this page using their EBU account and will be asked if they wish to register for both events at once, so there will be no need to fill in a separate registration for the AI Summit.
Delegates are advised to make their way to Lausanne by train, directly from Geneva Airport, where a fast and reliable service is provided by the Swiss Railways (SBB). For tickets and timetable visit the SBB website.
Bus timetables and all relevant event information will be made available via the event app, which delegates can access after registering.
A selection of hotels in Lausanne city centre or near the venue will be available to GA participants at negotiated rates.
All reservations will be handled by a business travel agency on a third-party platform. Delegates will receive a link to a booking platform where they can choose their preferred accommodation and make a reservation in the registration confirmation email.
Delegates who choose to book using this service will be asked to select a hotel from a list of options, according to availability, and upload a copy of their passport or ID for the reservation to be processed by the agency. After the agency confirms the booking, delegates will receive an invoice.
For any additional night(s) – before or after the default booking period - or any other information please contact MICE: events.lausanne@micexperts.ch
We look forward to welcoming you to this important gathering in Lausanne
