Podcast Forum

An annual opportunity for EBU Members to take a deeper dive into podcast strategies and formats. The Podcast Forum provides space for focused discussions, allowing participants to share successful and innovative podcasts, exchange knowledge and best practices, and find new collaborators.

The EBU podcasting community is heading to Ljubljana, Slovenia!

Thanks to the kind invitation of Radio Slovenija, the EBU Podcast Forum 2026 will take place on 29 and 30 September 2026, following the Avdiofestival 2026.

To help you plan your travel, please see the Practical Information document for hotel recommendations and airport shuttle details.

This will be once again a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas on podcast formats and explore various aspects of podcasting and public service media.

Tuesday, 29 September: Full day and networking dinner
Wednesday, 30 September: Morning ending with lunch

At the EBU Podcast Forum, senior podcast professionals and producers come together to discuss strategies for successful podcasting, production techniques, and innovative formats. Participants have the chance to share insights on topics such as audio content benchmarking, KPIs for commissioning, efficient internal production workflows, team collaboration, and the creation of new formats. The agenda includes knowledge-sharing along with format presentations, and there is plenty of space for open discussions on topics suggested by participants.

This is an in-person event only, open exclusively to EBU Members. It is of interest to podcast producers, content creators, programme directors, heads of digital, heads of programming, heads of podcast teams, and others involved in public service broadcasting, podcast production, strategy development, or on-demand content.

The day before the EBU Podcast Forum, Radio Slovenija will present Avdiofestival 2026.

EBU podcasting community is a great space to share ideas and learn from each other. Explore the EBU Podcast Catalogues, which feature podcasts submitted to past Open Calls for Podcast Formats. The 2026 call is now closed.
