The EBU Connect conference took place on Tuesday 4 May 2021 as a one-day online event. We are excited to have offered a great lineup on the theme of "The Crucial Role of Marketing and Design in the Future of Public Service Media (PSM)".

This year, over 240 promos were submitted by EBU Members for the 2021 Awards. Out of the 200 eligible entries received, a total of 70 promos have been nominated by the EBU Connect Steering group across 14 categories, featuring work from 25 broadcasters.

Once again this year, the EBU Connect Awards showcased excellence among peers by awarding the Best Promos and Campaigns of 2020
The competition was open for entries in 13 categories plus an additional “Special COVID-19” category, welcoming any spots or campaigns aimed at informing, educating but also entertaining the public during the pandemic.
The online voting was open from Monday 12 April (pm) until Monday 19 April (midnight) to participants registered for EBU Connect 2021 and those who submitted entries on the EBU Showcase platform.
Silver winners were unveiled online prior to the EBU Connect conference while the Gold winners were announced in a dedicated session during the online event on Tuesday 4 May.
For 24 years, EBU Connect has brought together PSM executives and managers to discuss branding, marketing, promotions, audience navigation, design and media planning, with an increasing focus on digital and social media in recent years.
